Dump out old electronics in Forsyth

CUMMING – Continue spring cleaning by bringing old electronic equipment to be recycled at Keep Forsyth County Beautiful's (KFCB) electronics recycling event. This recycling event will be held May 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in parking lot 3 at the city of Cumming Fairgrounds on Castleberry Road.
Acceptable items include old computers, printers, cameras, cell phones, stereos, televisions and more to be recycled. The minimum donation per carload drop-off is $5. An additional $10 fee will apply for all acceptable televisions. Large wooden console and projection televisions will not be accepted.
"We recycled 56,781 pounds of electronics last May, including 167 televisions and 290 computers," Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright said. "We encourage all citizens to clean out their closets and storage rooms and bring their old electronics."Please visit our web site to see additional opportunities available for homes that need to be recycled.
