The second annual "Family Water Fest" at Lake Lanier will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Young Deer Park on Lake Lanier. Keep Forsyth County Beautiful, along with Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, will be hosting this water awareness event. The purpose is to provide citizens with a forum to learn about recreational opportunities involving water and water quality issues affecting Georgia and its citizens. The afternoon will be full of fun activities, great food, and education that every family member can enjoy. Any group, business, organization or individual is invited who has a passion for enjoying and protecting our precious waterways to come out and volunteer or set up an exhibit.
