Pumpkins, Apples, Corn Mazes, Festivals, Hayrides & More. North Georgia is a Great Place to live when the Fall Season begins to roll in. Here is a list of fun things you can do this weekend, without travelling a long distance.
Old Milton County Fair: Downtown Alpharetta, Saturday September 9th from 11am to 7pm. It’s an old fashioned country fair with barbecue, bluegrass, square dancing, horse rides and old time carnival games, watermelon eating contests and more. Admission is free and parking is free.
Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze: Open Friday evenings and all day Saturday & Sunday in September & November. Open daily with addition of pumpkin patch in October. Hwy 53, 2 miles West of GA 400 in Dawsonville. Corn maze, hayrides, corn cannon & festival foods. Visit www.uncleshucks.com for more information & to view this year's maze.
Burt's Farm & Amicalola Falls: Stop off at Burt's Farm for pumpkins, treats, hayrides & more. Open 12pm - 5:30pm Saturdays & Sundays in September & daily in October. Visit www.burtsfarm.com for more information. Then head a few yards down the road to Amicalola Falls & State Park. There you can enjoy a breathtaking view & beautiful trails. Park Pass for the day is $3.
Apples, Apples & More Apples: Travel out Hwy 52 towards Ellijay & stop at some of these great Apple Orchards along the way: Hillcrest Orchards, B.J.Reece Apple House, Mack Aaron's Apple House, Aaron's Apple House, Hudson's, Seller's Orchard, R&A Orchards or Oak Hill Orchards.
