


The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department’s July 4th Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 4th, from 4pm to 10:15pm at Wills Park. The public is invited to join in the fun and festivities. The following is a list of events for the day:
• 4:00pm – 10:00pm: Food Vendors in various park locations (The Varsity, Full Belly BBQ, Ben & Jerry’s, and Super Dog)
• 5:00pm – 8:00pm: Children’s Activities on the Alpharetta Community Center Event Lawn (moonwalk, inflatable slide, magic show, animal balloons, caricature artist, and more)
• 6:00pm-7:00pm: Alpharetta City Band performance (ACC Event Lawn) with patriotic music
• 7:30pm-9:30pm: Paul Scott performance (ACC Event Lawn) with a musical journey of popular music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and beyond
• Fireworks display will begin at dusk.

The City of Cumming has their Independence Day Celebration beginning on July 3rd at 6:00pm. Various vendors including food and drink, inflatable’s for kids, a live band, wonderful fireworks display along with an all age dance contest following the fireworks. Bring your blanket, set out on the lawn and enjoy the festivities. There is no admission or parking fee for the July 3rd celebration! On July 4th come and enjoy the famous Steam Engine Parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Parade will include steam engines, antique tractors, antique cars and many other floats decorated in the spirit of the holiday. Following the Steam Engine Parade you can take a closer look at the steam engines, tractors and cars at the Fairgrounds. Here's an easy schedule to follow:

* 7:30pm - The Estes Brothers Band
* 9:30pm - Fireworks Show
* 10:00pm - Dance Contest (all ages)

* 9:00am - Vendors Open For Sale (till 1:00pm)
* 10:00am - Parade Begins
* Parade Ends at Fairgrounds At Approximately 12:00 Noon
* 1:00pm - Celebration Over
The City of Dawsonville also begins their celebration of Independence Day on the evening of July 3 at the spectacular Thunder in the Sky fireworks presentation. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun. Live music by Terry Dean and Mike Waller and others provided. Enjoy Country Cooking at Champions Café. There will be special activities for children. Parking is only $5 a carload. The event will be held on the grounds of Dawson County High School. Come as early as 5:00 pm and stay late for all the excitement.
